IFSI-EMC with Al-screen is a halogen free, XLPE-insulated, HFFR-sheathed cable with solid circular copper conductors (class 1 according to IEC 60228). IFSI-EMC is designed according to NEK HD 604-5D. The screen consists of a longitudinal Aluminium tape in contact with a solid copper wire. For cables with cross sections 1,5 and 2,5 mm² the Al-screen is overlapping with 100% optical coverage. For cables with cross sections 4 and 6 mm² the screen has a longitudinal gap, no larger than 4 mm. The cores are identified by colours according to HD 308. The outer sheath is UV-protected and is marked type/manufacturer/flame propagation//year+month/metre marking. IFSI-EMC meets the requirements for class Dca -s2d2a2 according to CPR and emits no corrosive gases during fire.  

 

Lifemark(TM) recycling marking

The external surface of the outer sheath is embossed with a text which specifies all components in the polymers and prepares the cable for future recycling.

IFSI-EMC will be delivered in lengths of 500 m. The drum is marked with manufacturer, type of cable and length. The ends of the cable are sealed.
