Globally the transmission of sound, TV and internet traffic is placing increasing demands on capacity. The rapid expansion of global IP traffic and the advancement of 5G, artificial intelligence and machine learning require faster data speeds, low latency and enhanced connectivity.

With Mobile Ecosystems rapidly on the rise, wherever people are in the world, there is now an expectation of full coverage and access to data transmission capacity, both offshore and in areas that previously lacked broadband connections. Optical fiber is currently the only solution capable of carrying such massive volumes of data. Therefore, greater network efficiency will require more cable connections to meet present and future connectivity requirements worldwide.
