Frost protection
DEFROST PIPE - LS is a light commercial grade self-limiting heating cable/tape that is ideal for frost protection or temperature maintenance of pipe work and vessels in the construction and refrigeration industries. The variant DEFROST PIPE 20 is recommended for frost protection of roof gutters and drains. All DEFROST PIPE cables are UV-resistant, and can be installed outdoors exposed to sunlight.

Cut-to-length
It can be cut-to-length on site, and exact piping lengths can be matched without any complicated design considerations. Please note there are limitiations to maximum length, dependent on installation method and environment. More information can be found on the product page or in our heating cable handbook.

Improve safety and reliability
Its self-limiting characteristics improve safety and reliability. DEFROST PIPE wil not overheat or burnout, even when overlapped upon itself. Its power output is self-limiting in response to the pipe temperature.

Quick installation
The installation of DEFROST PIPE is quick and simple and requires no special skills or tools. Termination, splicing and power connection components are all provided in convenient kits.
