Camera surveillance (CCTV)

Closed Circuit Television systems are increasingly used for surveillance purposes and to prevent break-ins. Nexans offers standardized coaxial cables, as well as data cables for IP-based solutions outdoors. In the case of IP-based camera installations, we have data cables for outdoor installations, as well as outlet boxes to enable connection to the camera. 

CCTV is synonymous with locally installed camera surveillance systems. The system comprises a camera, monitor, transmission (cable), control system and storage system. Our range of halogen-free cables for CCTV are based on 75 ohms coaxial cables. 

Laying and installation
The cables are intended to be laid in fixed positions both indoors and outdoors in accordance with applicable regulations. When laying cables outdoors, they should be protected from mechanical interference and strong sunlight. The cables meet the requirements relating to performance in fire conditions stipulated in IEC 60332-1.
