FL-EXXE 1kV distribution cable

The distribution cables of the future are here. Just as you know it from before - only a little better.

The news Nexans FL-EXXE is the first distribution cable in our investment in thermoplastic insulation (TPI). It is at least as good a material as PEX, but is more future-oriented in that it is easier to remelt and recycle after the cable's lifetime (proportion of recyclable material in the cable is 99.6%**). The cape also consists of at least 30% recycled material.

Of course, we've also made the cable easy to work with. That's why we've given FL-EXXE:

• Double-insulated, round aluminum conductors
• No common outer sheath
• Shrinkage step is unnecessary
• UV resistance
• Can be placed directly in the ground

Nexans FL-EXXE has the same application area as and can be used instead of TFXP. It is also both easier and faster to:

• pull in pipes
• install in a cabinet: flexible conductors branch easily down to the bottom of the cabinet
• maintain: repair and fire only the damaged phase

To demonstrate the difference between the TFXP and Nexan's FL-EXXE, we had one of our employees, Trond, run a small unofficial comparison of the installation. *The result was that the job took around 40% less time with FL-EXXE.
