Twisted cables save space
Background:
Putting several cables in the same ditch saves space. If you also twist the cables before digging them down, you save even more space. In addition, workload, time use and use of other resources are reduced.
What we've done:
Instead of laying cables individually, we twist the cables together. We thus need fewer drums, narrower ditches and less logistics. There will also be less waste in this way. In other words; more sustainable.
Results:
This solution means less extensive encroachment on nature because the twisted cable requires less space. The cables are also laid faster, and you do not have to dig as wide ditches as with traditional cable laying. This means that smaller amounts of soil must be moved on, and less disturbance of the nature where the cable is laid.
Overall, the entire cabling becomes more efficient; less logistics is required, the work takes less time and resources and there is less waste compared to solutions where wider ditches have to be dug.
